Gopala Rangan is a senior staff Nephrologist at Westmead Hospital and Professor in Genetic Kidney Disease at the University of Sydney. He is a clinician-scientist and leads the Michael Stern Laboratory for Polycystic Kidney Disease at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research focusing on translational research in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). He is principal investigator of the PREVENT-ADPKD multi-centre randomised controlled trial which determined the efficacy of prescribed water intake on the progression of ADPKD.
